Final Meeting

From 1.-2. October 2018 the DEMIS project partners conducted the final project meeting. The African partners were invited to Oldenburg University (VLBA). Representatives were Daniel Nukpezah (University of Ghana), Karoli Njau (Nelson Mandela Institute of Science and Technology, Arusha, Tansania) und Uranio Mahanjane (Universidade Pedagogica, Maputo, Mozambique). Recent visit to Ghana


Barbara Rapp and Jorge Marx Gómez visited the workshop “Improving Graduate Imployability through Capacity Building Partnerships” which took place from 10-12 July 2018 in Accra (Ghana). They presented the DEMIS network during the workshop. The workshop was organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

 

DEMIS project meeting & doctoral colloquium

The penultimate project meeting and doctoral colloquium took place in Oldenburg on May 26 and May 28, 2018. Saturday was dedicated to our doctoral students. All candidates from Ghana and Mozambique presented their research topics in detail and received a lot of feedback. The project meeting focused on the upcoming final meeting.

CEMIS Conference at Oldenburg, Germany

The Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (COAST), located at the University of Oldenburg, organized the 10th CEMIS conference. The conference focused on Corporate Environmental Management Information Systems for Smart Cities and Smart Regions. The DEMIS team submitted several papers, where each of them focusing on a different conference topic.

Sustainabililty Dialogue 2017

After our project meeting and doctoral colloquium, the DEMIS team attended the Sustainability Dialogue 2017 conference in order to present their work to the scientific community. We had many fruitful discussions. Our special thanks go to Dr. Dan Nukpezah the very well organized event.

Project Meeting & 2. Doctoral Workshop

The DEMIS team will meet from February 13-17, 2017 at the University of Ghana. The team will discuss and evaluate different project related activities, like upcoming exchange stays of the doctoral students, as well as research and financial issues. All doctoral students will give a status presentation of their ongoing research.
Some team members submitted a paper to the International Conference on Sustainability and Environmental Management (Sustainability Dialogue) and will present and discuss their work.

New Doctoral Students

In December 2016 Eugenio and Luis were awarded a full scholarship within another project. Congratulations from the DEMIS team!
